Postcard From Portugal

That gorgeous view is of Lisbon: the first destination on our Mediterranean drive.

How do you top that?

Lisbon completely blew all of my expectations out of the water. It’s a weird city, but in a completely wonderful, laid-back, cool way in which you could spend weeks uncovering by walking through its seemingly never-ending, winding, cobblestoned streets. We both really fell in love with it and will hopefully go back someday. A great place to start our trip.

We’re now in the Algarve region in the south of Portugal in a small town called Tavira. Last night being our last in the country, we did it up right with a fantastic dinner of cataplana, white wine, and Port to finish it off. Our first truly great meal of the trip! Pictures later.

This morning we’re heading into Spain, to Sevilla, which I’m so excited about. I can’t convince John to see a bullfight (poor animals, wah wah wah), but I’m sure it will be great anyway. See you in Spain!
